NoScript not working

I have uninstalled and reinstalled NoScript, and updated as recently as today. It is not working (it was in the past). I get nothing when I right-click a webpage, there is no logo on the IP address line, and no messages about allowing or not allowing a page.

I am using Firefox 23.0.1. In addition to NoScript, I have installed Better Privacy, Ghostery and DoNotTrackMe.

A Google search suggests that others have the same issue, but I have found no answer.

Can anyone help?

When I install no-script and restart Firefox it works fine, then if I close Firefox and open it again there is a second tab open saying there is a program on my computer that wants me to tick a box to enable the extension. In Add-ons Manager the extension is disabled. The only way around it is to uninstall it and reinstall every time I start Firefox (version 23.0.1).

Just to note I regularly scan with MSE and Malwarebytes and use CCleaner and since version 23.0.1 I keep getting popup windows which seem really dodgy eg serve.bannersdontwork.com and thats even when noscript is installed. I also have Adblock Plus 2.3.2 and Adblock Plus Pop-Up Addon. Any ideas????

@tomw: is a NoScript entry shown in the Add-ons manager? If it is, does its "Options" button work?

@vini: are you running Firefox inside a 3rd party sandbox (e.g. SandboxIE)? Why are you using an obsolete version?

Giorgio -

Thank you for a quick response. The answers are Yes, and Yes.
