Example

Watch Stag Night (2008) Online for Free - Viooz

===

The site uses (at least for the example) googlevideo.com

I grabbed this link...

Code: Select all

http://r6---sn-qxo7sn7s.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id=7a64eca0f0553b49&itag=34&source=picasa&ip=76.26.98.122&ipbits=0&expire=1379659213&sparams=expire,id,ip,ipbits,itag,source&signature=3BD51B6B3DCC16306782EE11406A4FF25584D70E.0594042AF7421B55A5D44892381DA3BCD7E668F8&key=cms1&begin=0&cm2=0&cms_redirect=yes&ms=nxu&mt=1377067106&mv=u
...in the Adblock window and stuck it into Downthemall.

I've started a ~280MB file download named "videoplayback". It hasn't finished downloading yet. I assume it'll work once it finishes and I stick on the right extension.

For the curious - it's an awful horror movie. Don't ask me why I want to see it. I can't say...

Thanks.
I rarely think of that.

So... FlashGot team - I guess your non-answer means you have no interest in providing support for googlevideo.com video links. Am I right? Am I wrong?

It's up to Giorgio; the development is all his. The rest of us can provide support, but he makes all the development decisions.

I don't do much (read:any) video downloading myself, so I don't have much of an opinion on the value of googlevideo.com.

What exactly is the trouble; FlashGot doesn't detect the presence of the video?

Yes.

Well, I can't see that URL appearing anywhere in the page or its scripts, but there's a presumably-Flash video that wants to play, and I haven't enabled Flash. Or else it needs the HD Video plugin that the page was advertising to me, which I don't have either (and am not keen to install). Sorry, can't help much.

I guess my only useful advice is: you can probably find a better class of movie :D. Kudos on finding a workaround yourself. Maybe Giorgio will be able to do more.

It's not needed.

I had another look at the page. I forgot that I have to click the Flash to get the link to appear.

Ah. If the link is contained within the Flash object, then I doubt that FlashGot will see it (and I'm not sure it's even possible).
