I just installed FlashGot.
The installation passed just normally, but when firefox got restarted, it filled the whole ram + swap of my machine, resulting in a need to unplug it.
Later I tried to start firefox from a terminal. It outputs this:

Code: Select all

loxs@aoede /home/loxs $ firefox
which: no aria in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.3:/usr/kde/3.5/bin:/usr/qt/3/bin:/usr/games/bin:/home/loxs//.local/bin)
which: no nt in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.3:/usr/kde/3.5/bin:/usr/qt/3/bin:/usr/games/bin:/home/loxs//.local/bin)
which: no d4x in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.3:/usr/kde/3.5/bin:/usr/qt/3/bin:/usr/games/bin:/home/loxs//.local/bin)
which: no gwget in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.3:/usr/kde/3.5/bin:/usr/qt/3/bin:/usr/games/bin:/home/loxs//.local/bin)
which: no wxdfast in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.3:/usr/kde/3.5/bin:/usr/qt/3/bin:/usr/games/bin:/home/loxs//.local/bin)
which: no aria2c in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.3:/usr/kde/3.5/bin:/usr/qt/3/bin:/usr/games/bin:/home/loxs//.local/bin)
^C
loxs@aoede /home/loxs $
After that I have to kill it as it starts to eat ram very fast.

I am using firefox 3.0.10 on gentoo linux.
Here is a complete list of my other addons:
Adblock Plus 1.0.2
Aging Tabs 0.7.1
DownloadHelper 4.4.1
Firebug 1.3.3
Flashblock 1.5.10
Forecastfox 0.9.10.1
Hide Menubar 1.0.20090104
Site Information Tool 1.2

Confirmed, seems to happen on fresh installs but not if FlashGot was already installed (auto-updaters shouldn't be affected, fortunately).
Just removed the file from AMO and trying to fix it ASAP.

BTW, you probably know that but you can uninstall it by starting Firefox in safe mode, sorry for the inconvenience.

Fixed in FlashGot 1.1.9.4, just rushed out.
Thank you very much for reporting!

Downloading from mozilla doesn't work. It says that there is a checksum error.

Downloading directly from your own page works fine.
