Flashgot fails with Uploading.com

Flashgot 1.1.7.8 on Firefox 3.0.11

Flashgot works perfectly in multiple and single downloads with my accounts for rapidshare and for depositfiles.

However, Uploading.com fails every time

If I use the selection click, it downloads the web pages not the links
If I go to the web page for the download it creates and downloads the file as get.php every time.

Your information source said that it is compatible with uploading.com but it isn't working at all.

Any thoughts?

Strange, it's working fine for me (I've got a test account).
Could you post (privately, if you prefer) an URL to a page where the downloading fails?

I Downloaded development edition 1.1.9.2 and re-created the same scenerio.

This worked in downloading the batch of files, but it saved them all as get.php, get(1).php, get(2).php

Those 3 links are working for me (FlashGot + Orbit Downloader).

Which download manager are you using? Are you already logged in Uploading.com and have cookies enabled both in Firefox/FlashGot and in your download manager?

Isn't that a naming issue.
Based upon his pictures, the files are being downloaded - correctly, only their name is incorrect.

There are some FlashGot name tweaks that can be applied, might help.
What download manager are you using?

Using Firefox default built-in downoloader

cookies enabled in Firefox

Send cookies enabled in FlashGot

The problem is the default built-in downloader, which is not really tailored for multiple or redirected downloads.
BTW, the one shipping with Fx 2.x (which you're using) is even worse than the one in Fx 3.x (which is bad enough).
Please try a real download manager (e.g. Orbit, it's free) and you won't look back.

Orbit was the ticket.
You da' man!

Thanks for taking so much time.

Giorgio, I am still having some difficulty with uploading.com

Orbit grabs the download url from flashgot, but downloads the html file.
I tried click and selection - I still end up going to the web page for uploading.com and directly downloading the file.

Something foobarred in Firefox? Does this go to Orbit or to Flashgot? I cannot see anything else to do... or is it just the way uploading.com sets up links.

Somehow the html extension seems to get into the way, but I am not sure how all of this is parsed.

The latest link you reported doesn't work because the host is "www.uploading.com" rather than just "uploading.com" (like all the uploading.com links I've seen so far).
I'll update FlashGot later today making it detect these URLs as well, thanks for reporting.
