[Resolved] Noscript Interfering with Firefox Plug-in check !
Someone needs to tell Mozilla (FF) and its users...Noscript really seems to be interfering with their plugin check page !!!

Re: Noscript REALLY Interfering with Firefox Plug-in check !
Plugin check will not finish scanning when Noscript is enabled. The progress icon just continues spinning.I tested a theory & disabled Noscript under FF add-ons & found that that was indeed what the problem was.I tried this because I've had problems with Noscript interfering with other things at other times & it was REALLY frustrating trying to figure out what the problem was.I've been using Noscript for years now & I plan on continuing to do so BUT this is something that the devs should be checking before release !

In what way does it not finish?
Screenshot of what you get?
> disabled Noscript
What domains do you have allowed when you run the check?
Do you get different results if you use FF instead of Pale Moon?
Or do you mean that the page load indicator never gets to 100% & the throbber never stops? It may not be too unusual for that to be the case on particular sites when NoScript in enabled. (Yahoo Mail, prior to their recent "update" had been like that.) And if that is what you're meaning, other then that, is there something that the plugin check page does not do that it should be doing?

Actually I'm seeing just that - in a Profile that does not have NoScript. (Perhaps more correctly, initially the page did load, fully. Indicator disappeared & the throbber was not animating. But then later on, both conditions presented themselves. So suspect that while the page remained open, after a period of time, it ran some script that caused it to happen.)Or do you mean that the page load indicator never gets to 100% & the throbber never stops?

Re: Noscript REALLY Interfering with Firefox Plug-in check !
rube-I don't know how I can be any clearer ??
Open FF...under the menu button (FF button on the top left corner of the browser) click on the add-ons tab...Next,click on "plugins" tab...Next...at the top of that page, click on "check to see if your plugins are up to date".....at this point a new page opens-which begins to (or attempts to) check the status of the plugins that you have installed in your browser.....
If Nosscript is "enabled" this check begins but appears to get "stuck". I do not see the need for a screenshot of this (plus,I'm actually pretty unfamiliar with that process.I've always been able to just explain myself very clearly). WHEN I "run the check" I have NO domains allowed.Because (again) I have disabled" Noscript temporarily in order for the check to be run.And,no...the results are the same regardless of which browser I use.

But the check itself works, simply allow www.mozilla.org, plugins.mozilla.org and mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net (or the whole domain) .

The plugin update page used to gracefully handle JavaScript being disabled, it even had a funny message about RMS...I guess they decided that a sense of humor was inappropriate in a modern browser. Wonder how long it will be before The Book of Mozilla gets dropped?
