Hi, I've got a problem with this software. Whenever I start firefox the flashgot updated page keeps loading along with my home page. The only way to stop it is to disable firefox in the ad ons menu. I'm on vista 64bit and I haven't had this problem before
Can anyone help me? It's getting really annoying, I don't want to reinstall flashgot because I will have to reconfigure it (I think).

I have to disable flashgot in the firefox ad ons menu, not disable firefox in the ad ons menu. Just a little typo.

Perhaps not it, but check to see what your home page is set to. You may have inadvertently added flashgot.net too.

Nope, just checked my homepage is google.

Try a Standard Diagnostic.

And i have the same problems.

Which FlashGot version are you using exactly?
Does the version number match the flashgot.version preference in about:config?
If not, could you edit it manually and check if the value is persisted across a browser restart?
If it's not, you've got a problem with your profile (preferences can't be saved) and you should try Standard Diagnostic or, in the worst case, http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... ew_profile

I visited that page for transferring the profile and from that information, I tried deleting the pref.js file and it worked ^^,V No more update page!

I started at looking at the old pref.js file and found that flashgot version listed in there was 1.1.8.6 while my version was actually 1.1.9! I changed the it to the proper version and then put it back into the firefox profiles folder, and there was no update page! YAY
