Uget no longer integrates with FlashGot

Uget no longer integrates with FlashGot. After version 1.8.2 Uget is offered only as a portable application and since it cannot be installed FlashGot cannot recognize it. Version 1.8.2 of Uget was the last one that worked fluently with FlashGot but the new releases offer considerable improvements in speed and a bunch of new options so I discarded it and therefore I cannot use it with FlashGot. Since Uget does not have a download basket using it is not that easy. Anyway, version 1.10.3 of Uget works great with batch downloads. So I would be grateful if someone can tell me how to integrate this portable build of Uget with FlashGot. By the way I have had the same problem with the portable version of JDownloader.

If you start off with the 1.8.2, installer, then simply replace the updated files from the 1.10.3, archive, would that work?

I tried what you suggested before I posted this topic here but it did not work. The archive into which uGet 1.10.3 is packed has different internal structure (it also contains GTK 3).

I sought help for this issue in the uGet forums and the developer explained how to get uGet 1.10.3 work with FlashGot- one should create new entry in the FlashGot options menu and add a link to the uget.exe. This really works but the original entry of uGet in the list of supported download managers is greyed and inactive. I wonder whether the default parameters can be changed.
