NoScript causes distorted pictures.

After hours and hours of searching for answers to my problem, I finally found out the problem. At first I thought that flash was to blame, ruled that out. When I would go a webpage, many (if not most) pictures were distorted. Both Firefox and Chrome are affected, IE has no problems.

After uninstalling NoScript, the problem has gone away. Anyone else have this issue and/or a work around? I want to keep using NoScript but won't until this issue is worked out. Seeing pictures look like that drives me nuts!

Windows XP Pro SP3
Firefox 20

Everything is up to date, patches, drivers and browsers. TIA

This doesn't sound related to NoScript, since you said that Chrome is also affected. NoScript doesn't exist for Chrome.

However:
URL where this occurs?
Anything NoScript-related in Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J), especially Errors or Messages?
Which sites appear on the NoScript menu, and the Untrusted and Blocked Objects submenus?

Wild guess looking at the picture, if it's an actual screenshot... maybe both Chrome and Firefox are using GPU to accelerate image decoding, and something is wrong with your graphic board driver.

I've disabled hardware acceleration and that made no difference. Chrome has straightened out. I didn't look in Error Console before removing NoScript. I just removed it, restarted Firefox and seen the problem was gone. URLs didn't matter, the problem existed all over the web. The pic I posted happened to be from TV Guide. I also saw the same problem on my homepage (Google News).

When I was having the problem, I did a little experiment. I drug a picture from the page to my desktop. I opened the picture with IrfanView and it was fine. I opened the picture with Firefox and the same problem was there. Which made me think it was a browser problem. Since removing NoScript, the problem has gone away. Pictures at any site I visit look fine.

Would really like to get this figured out because I do want to use NoScript but not an the expense of looking at such messed up pictures in the browser.

Did you also try to reinstall NoScript and check whether the problem comes back?

NOW I'm really at a loss. When I uninstalled NoScript, the problem seemed to go away. Pictures online looked fine. THEN, the problem was back. I then disabled Download Helper and everything looked fine. Then the problem was back. Now I've disabled Adblocker Plus and the problem seems to have righted itself. :?

Talk about wanting to pull my hair out!!!! Am going to reinstall NoScript and see what happens. Wish me luck!

All the above tells me it's not actually an extensions problem, and maybe not a Firefox-specific problem either (didn't you tell Chrome showed the same problem in your first post)?
The intermittency would make me suspect a physical issue, such as a memory fault in your graphic card triggered by overheating.

Well....... i reinstalled NoScript and the problem returned. Uninstalled NoScript and the problem went away. Also found that Adblock Plus does the same thing, distorts pictures. Remove it and the problem is gone.
