Unable to view videos here.
All the permissions have been allowed. When I click the blank Flash window I get the clickjack alert.I unlock that, and nothing happens. No elements blocked by ABP either. But the video plays well in IE. Available
here
The users cannot be punished for reporting sites with strange URLs. The spam filter is not allowing this post. Is there some way to circumvent this ?Might be next time I would not take the trouble for whatever it is worth.

Anything in the Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J)?

Unfortunately there are a lot of spam registrations. The filter helps to keep them from flooding the boards with spam. We do try to clean them up.
If you need to post something that the spam filter blocks, first trying wrapping it in [ code ] tags, and if it still doesn't work, please send it to one of the moderators via private message so we can post it for you.

Nothing shows in the Errors section , though a lot present in the Warning. Sent the link thru PM to you. You may kindly bring it to my first post in this thread.

WFM.
I did have to allow a Blocked Object, flashsomethingortheother...l.yimg.com.
Code: Select all
+yahooapis.com
+yimg.com
+yahoo.com
I'll assume you could truncate the URL without messing it up?

Does not WFM. I click the window allow the prompt, the next thing I get is the clickjack alert.I am unable to proceed further. These days I get a lot of strange instances in FF , generally contradicted by other users in the forum. Would it be OK to note and remove all addons / install FF fresh and then add them one by one even if it meant a great challenge to my laziness?

You may have to refresh the page after allowing the flash object.

Fires right up for me.
No I do not get a clickjacking alert.
Also I do NOT get any placeholder, even though it is Flash & have both Flash blocked & 'Apply to whitelisted sites too'?
As a test, create a new, clean Profile, install only NoScript & see what happens.
Now on this page,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2Kp6fipkns , I do get the placeholder.

Regards to a placeholder- should it not have been there? A Bug? I will try on a clean profile to keep you posted. But any other addon trying to impose a clickjack alert is spooky. Of late lot of things happening to Firefox in my system.FF 20.0.1 Win 7 x 64 ultima

As I write , I tried the site in XP SP 3 on a regular profile. Error. I tried a clean profile. It runs.Added only NS , it is resorting to the earlier symptoms with the No place holder ,clickjack alert etc. NS 2.6.6
The earlier videos may have been removed from the servers , but the
site and the videos listed behave as usual.
I wonder what trick therube has up his sleeves that he is getting it to work.

Maybe this works differently in Seamonkey.

That seems a very very casual reply , if you could take this with some humor.

How is it at your end. Are you able to get it to work? OR are you trying to indicate something implicitly...

It wasn't flippant. Therube uses Seamonkey, which might behave differently to Firefox.
Haven't checked it out myself. I will if I get a chance.

Your problem is caused basically by the way Yahoo lays out the movie: until it's started, it hides it under its own placeholder (hence you can't see NoScript's).
Also, if you click Yaohoo's placeholder, NoScript "senses" the click because it's in the same position as its own hidden placeholder and enables the Flash player.
Unfortunately, though, the player remains hidden under Yahoo's placeholder and you can't see it. Furthermore, if you click again the click is delivered to the player, but since it is concealed by Yahoo's placeholder and it's cross-site, you (rightly) get the ClearClick warning.
Finally, even if you reload the page after allowing the swf player (either from the hidden placeholder or from the "Blocked objects" submenu) Yahoo changes the movie parameters, hence the player gets blocked again as it was delivering a different movie, and you're back at square one.
The only work around is using the "Blocked objects" submenu in order to allow
*@http://l.ytimg.com.
Fortunately this is not gonna happen for most people, because unless you've got the
Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites as well option set everything will work smoothly.
