Placeholder hang

Clicking on the mp3 placeholder here makes FF hang, though FG indicates and completes the download. I wonder if it has ultimately to do with plugin player management

I changed the option from the default vlc plugin to always ask, still hangs.
FF 20.0.1 NS 2.6.6

How are you getting a placeholder?
I am getting a request to download a file?

Surprisingly , I am getting a placeholder, and even the options>>applications has mp3 file to be saved. I am seeing this occurence only in win7 system. XP allows me to download.

I wonder if this is is some sort of Firefox bug? On the regular profile with NS disabled and a clean profile , FF seems to hang at that site. Win 7 x 64 here.

No need to mention NoScript, it seems.

Seem to recall a recent rash of click-to-play related bugs (which I haven't paid attention to), so search for DUPs first.
