Cannot Remove Whitelisted Items

I am running the latest dev build and there is something seriously busted with NS. The whitelist items are permanently sticky and WILL NOT go away. I have repeatedly deleted them they come back. I have deleted and unchecked the bookmark item and setting, still they come back, I have manually destroyed the items through about:config, they keep coming back. There is absolutely NO WAY to get rid of anything, what the hell happened? I have reset using NS reset and they still keep coming back, where are they stored and how the hell are they being resurrected like this? I am not using any sync either, so what is going on? This is totally uncool.

NS 1.9.2.91 here.
Have been playing with the new export-the-whole-config feature, particularly with temp and permanent whitelist and untrusted items.
The whitelist is behaving 100percent as expected in this setup.

Good luck troubleshooting.

I don't know what's happening but deleting the whole pref.js file even, EVERY SINGLE extension came back blank and had to be reconfigured, NS comes back with all default out of the box settings but my whitelist and untrusted are ALL intact with the addition of the default and mandatory items, how do we explain that? This is NOT my imagination and I am not a noob, so any ideas?

@NanM, did you try removing some whitelist items and restarting to see if it stays gone or it comes back? I am not talking about exporting, importing or the usual stuff, I am talking basic function and the ability to remove items and expect them to stay gone.

I'm assuming from this that you aren't running a sync bookmark.
No chance you've checked that pref by accident?
Just thinking out loud with you.

Thanks for sticking with me, no that setting is not set, I mean I have done everything short of destroying my profile in whole but still they come back. See below:

1. Open up NS options, this is what's on my whitelist:

2. Select all of the items there and then click remove selected and the only things left are the mandatory items:

3. Now click ok to close and then open right back up and sure as hell they are back there again, WTF?

so anyone can explain this?

I'm unable to reproduce either.
The default whitelist can "resurrect" only if you use the "Reset" button (or if something is preventing your Firefox prefs to be saved).

Please set javascript.options.showInConsole to true
Does your Tools|Error Console show any NoScript-related error when you hit "OK"?

Also, did you try on a clean profile? (it's a less suicidal alternative to wiping your prefs.js file...)

Nothing shows in Error console, options ARE being written because any option I change on NS takes effect EXCEPT the whitelist removals. I know pref.js deletion is suicidal  but after having done EVERY single thing I could think of, short of wipe the profile and start over, it seemed just as bad for a last resort. I don't know what happened but I ended up just deleting my profile, starting over and just finished recreating everything. Not my favorite way to fix it but I did it, figured whatever screwed it up, I rather be on the safe side and start clean than to try and fix/patch what's broken. I am going to assume a fluke despite what I saw with my own eyes and just keep an eye on it and see if it happens again. :(

It was a real bug, albeit very difficult to reproduce.
It's fixed in latest development build, thanks for reporting.
