Feature request: allow visited domain

Post by patattewiel »

While virtually every site does include javascript, I'd like to be able to allow javascript (or other features as flash or silverlight) for only the domain I'm visiting. This way other domains such as googlesyndication.com or google-adwords.com or even worse don't get access. So the question is: does the development team support this idea?

It already work this way.
When you allow the top-level domain (bold in the menu) but you don't allow anything else, only 1st party dynamic content works.

If you mean you want whitelisting of the top-level site to be automated on visit, NoScript Options|General|Temporarily allow top-level sites by default.

Thanks for your quick response, I ment this feature, but then for silverlight, flash, javascript and so on seperate. That way still less unwanted content is displayed.

NoScript Options|Plugins|Apply these restriction to trusted sites as well?

Yes, that could help, but I'd like to allow only JS for all base 2nd level domains, but not Flash, silverlight or other. I'd like to be able to still allow selected sites to display flash etc. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe ticking the box "Apply these restriction to trusted sites as well" does not allow me to display flash at that site.

Thanks, Klaas.

It allows you to do it on demand (a la FlashBlock), either by clicking on the placeholder or by selecting the proper item from the "Blocked objects" menu (where you can also allow Flash or other plugins globally on the site for this session).

You got me there :D . My bad, I didn't think of that one. Sorry for polluting your forum with what I could have found out myself. Keep up the good work!
