[Nevermind] Two pages loaded after update to 1.9.2.7

Edit 2: Nevermind. I'm unable to reproduce this behavior. I might have done something unrelated to the install which caused the second page. Maybe I accidentally middle-clicked the Informaction logo at the top of the update page. Sorry if I've wasted anyone's time.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I just updated from NS 1.9.2.6 to 1.9.2.7. Instead of just the usual update page, I got the Informaction home page too.
http://noscript.net/?ver=1.9.2.7&prev=1.9.2.6
http://www.informaction.com/
Is this the intended behavior now?
Edit 1: I updated by copying noscript-1.9.2.7.xpi into the profile's extensions folder -- my usual procedure -- while Firefox wasn't running.
I just updated another profile by dragging the file onto the currently displayed web page. This time only the usual update page was displayed. ?????

Could you explain that?
You simply copy the XPI into Profile /extensions/? And on restart it does what? Automatically install from there? (Do you still have to confirm the installation?)
Or do your copy it into Profile /{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}/extensions/ ?
(Oh, & when I put it in, I <thought> I had center-clicked on several images, but then I look & see that they did NOT open. So I guess I had not in fact clicked them.)

Yes. On restart it behaves almost the same as the more common installation procedures. They create a folder, Profile extensions/staged-xpis/, and pretty much copy the xpi into there. You don't get to confirm the installation until Firefox starts up. It waits with the confirmation dialog, and then completes the startup.
My usual procedure:
- Save a copy of the installation file.
- Close Firefox and make a copy of the profile in case the installation horks Firefox beyond repair.
- Copy the installation file into the
extensions folder. (Erroneously left off the trailing 's' at the beginning of my first post. Corrected now.)
- Start Firefox (which usually takes up to 30 seconds because I have an old, slow computer with 59 extensions)
Or do your copy it into Profile /{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}/extensions/ ?
No. BTW, I don't see an extensions sub-folder under /{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}/. Did you mean something else?

{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}
I thought that was the "number" for NoScript?
install.rdf:
Code: Select all
<em:id>{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}</em:id>
Why use that method rather then simply dragging the XPI into a browser window?

I have to close Firefox so I can make a backup of the profile before I install the xpi. It takes Firefox quite a while to start up on my system, and this way I don't have to restart the browser twice.
