Set Referrer to Webpage not SWF Player

Often (I suppose, didn't really look) the referrer for FlashGot Media (I suppose, didn't really look) gets set to the actual SWF player, which likely has no relation to the actual page where the media was obtained from.

Could the referrer be set to the page rather then the player?

I've known of this for a long time, haven't really given it any thought, & haven't really looked into it, but thought I'd just thrown something down.

FlashGot sends the same referer which is sent by the player.
While I understand always sending the hosting document referrer would be convenient for human users, the risk is that some stupid protection scheme relying on the referrer being the actual player's URL would be broken.

Wouldn't that also manifest itself I you set the referrer to be blank (Options | Privacy -> Use always...)?
(I've started running that way & so far no complaints. I'll see how it goes over time.)

How about if you could use a variable for the 'Use always this Referrer URL:'?
Like [URL] or similar?
