Reload does not happen when clicking placeholder for iFRAMEs

Post by vgoevuzu »

Hey. I'm encountering situations where it seems like an automatic Page Reload is in order but it doesn't occur. I'm wondering if this is a bug or whether I do not have a setting enabled properly to make this work. Maybe this behavior I'm experiencing is by design. Is this intended NoScript behavior:

go to http://www.iloveubuntu.net/work-austral ... as-started
at the bottom of the page you will notice two NoScript placeholders blocking Disqus content. If I click one of these, the placeholder disappears but nothing else happens. If I manually reload the page, then the content that was being blocked by the placeholder manifests itself.

<using ubuntu-linux 12.04 with Firefox 18.0 and NoScript 2.6.4.2>
My Settings:
under Options > Embeddings, I have everything enabled except
-Ask for confirmation before unblocking
-Collapse blocked objects

under Options > General
-I enabled "Scripts Globally Allowed (dangerous)"

My Firefox about:config settings are default except for the following which I set to FALSE:
-noscript.autoReload.allTabs
-noscript.autoReload.allTabsOnPageAction

I also confirmed that the firefox about:config setting "noscript.autoReload" is set to TRUE

Unblocking objects does not cause a reload, no matter whether you allow it through the menu or by clicking the placeholder.

The reason for that is that if the page is reloaded (at least at YouTube), the object is assigned a new ID#, requiring a new T-A. which would reload the page, which assigns the object a new ID# .... ;)
