I recently tried to use flashgot on Dailymotion as i usually do, but all I've been able to download are unplayable .flv files that are the size of a few kb. I've tried downloading from other websites and had no problem. i think dailymotion has changed their flash encoding or something. plz fix this.

Looks like they're segmenting their clips.
MediaInfo displays nothing relevant with the individual segments & they will not play.

Not sure if anything at all can be done (especially if the individual clips cannot be joined/played), but investigating for next release, thanks.

But then it looks like some kind of "authorization" is expected, which I'm not sure where its getting it?

Not getting any Media icon in SeaMonkey.
Nor is Ctrl+F7 or the context menu giving anything.

Will try FF in a bit ...

In FF17 I did get an (2MB) ad, but not the clip or any clips at all.
If no ad, then I don't get any Media icon.

Everything I tried came down as expected, plays as expected.

(The only thing is that there is no way to capture a partial clip, &start= kind of thing, but suppose that has to do with their player & the way they offer up the clips.)

Sorry but not only I can't understand what you've done (I'm not an english speaker native) but reinstalling flashgot did'nt give me any success.
So can you explain me, step by step what to do when I want to download a video from Dailymotion which came in little pieces ?
