Why no PDF download thru FlashGot

FG 1.4.8.5 FF16.0.1
Earlier I thought PDF files were supported thru FG when it takes the route of NS>>Placeholder>>allow. But on this particular page Firefox directly seems to read into the PDF and these days without the external Acrobat PDF reader called , it is a little mumbo jumbo to save the said page display as PDF file.
The site http://manybooks.net/titles/davincietext048ldvc10.html
On the right side green box , select the format as PDF and click download.
In the new page that comes click the link below Amazon S3 Download something like
Please click here: *****davincietext048ldvc10.pdf.
This will open the page but ofcourse the page will be obscured by NS Placeholder. This file is not trapped by FG?

You can disable the PDF Viewer addon and go back to using Acrobat (or your choice of viewer) if you want.

Or you can open within PDF Viewer and click the Download button at the top-right.

I get NS>>Placeholder.
I've got Adobe Reader plugin that would display the PDF if I allowed it.
Otherwise, I can Alt+click it to download through my download manager.

(I have no "PDF Viewer", which I suppose is an extension.)

It's pdf.js, bundled with recent fx

From what you say , I presume that henceforth FF will open all PDF extensions as a web page itself rather than call Acrobat PDF right? But to my basic query of why FG flashing is not triggered?? Is it because of the change in the above arrangement?

I looked at FF 16 & nothing happened automatically as far as PDF are concerned.
So pdf.js is either not part of or not enabled by default in FF 16.

And if not pdf.js, then I would expect that nagan would be getting the expected NoScript blockings.

Ok. It seemed there was some confusion when I tried saving the page the first time , am not sure it was not html. But on repeated tries , the page does save as PDF file and would be opened by Acrobat. This non-issue is closed , except that FG could be made to enable direct downloads of PDF too as this seems to be an extension.
