I think noscript sets DNT (the do not track http request header) to 1 for me (if I disable noscript, DNT gets disabled too). Can I disable this feature ?

I noticed that, if you are not connected to a google account (or if you don't have one) AND if you have DNT set to 1, then youtube doesn't show any history. I don't like to be tracked, but I do like the history feature, it shows me related content. I find this tracking acceptable (maybe I shouldn't, it's some form of tracking, but well...) because it makes my browsing more productive by showing me related content instead of needing to search for it by hand.

This is by the way the only case where I found DNT set to 1 to disrupt my every day browsing, but maybe there's a way to have a youtube history without a gmail account and with DNT set to 1 ?

You can try using the noscript.doNotTrack.exceptions about:config preference. Not sure whether you need to put there .google.com, .youtube.com, .ytimg.com or a combination of them.
