~bump~
Have I fallen off the radar or been put on "ignore"?
Cheers!

Out of radar. Did not have any chance to install Open Solaris yet, let alone make a custom Fx build.
And I'll surely have no time for doing that until May the 26th at least, sorry

Is there any chance you can at least disprove that it's a sparc-specific issue?

No worries! The silence just made me start to wonder if I'd been blown off.
Err... Not sure if I can prove/disprove the sparc-ness of it. I don't have a spare machine on which I could try Solaris/Intel. Unless maybe I could install it on a thumb drive and boot from that on my wife's machine? Hers is a Windows machine; mine is a Mac. Worth investigating, I guess. For that matter, mine is an Intel Mac. I wonder if Solaris will run on it?
FWIW, the version of FF I'm using is (I think) a binary from Mozilla. I don't think it was built in-house. At least that's what I think I recall hearing from the IT guy....
Cheers!

We ALWAYS answer ALL questions and NEVER blow off anyone. If you ever feel your question got missed, or it hasn't yet been resolved, it's rare and definitely not intentional and a bump will get it back on track.

Hi,
Just wanted to report I've had no joy trying to get Solaris to go on any machine I have here.
I wish I still had one of those old desktops I took to the recyclers a few months ago!

I know what you mean, just after recycling 4 systems and a bunch of crap (so I thought) I wouldn't need, I have had a need for something in them at least 4 times now. Funny how when they are sitting there collecting dust and taking up valuable space, they are not needed but the minute they are gone, a need arises, it sucks.
