I can confirm this problem on Firefox 10.0.2 on Windows with NoScript 2.3.4. Google Play Music works perfectly fine when NoScript is uninstalled or disabled, but fails to play tracks when NoScript is enabled, regardless of settings.

@maxim0512:
I'm able to play my tracks all right. Would you please provide detailed steps to reproduce your problem so we can investigate further?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
NoScript 2.3.4rc1, default settings, no other extensions
Edit: I'm still unable to reproduce a problem, but I do see the following messages in the Error Console.
Code: Select all
Security Error: Content at https://checkout.google.com/ may not load data from https://play.google.com/store.
----------
[NoScript] Force text/plain for missing content-type on http://play.google.com/about/features/
The "Security Error" message is displayed in my default test profile that doesn't have any extensions at all as well.
Edit 2: I'm able to reproduce this problem in my profile that has 61 extensions installed.
I'll see if I can find the conflict, since Guardian and I have already ascertained that there's no problem in a profile that has only NoScript installed.

I can also confirm that my Google Music doesn't stream on Firefox (10.0.2) using (NoScript 2.3.4) but it works just fine with Chrome (17.0.963.78 m).
The problem started right after Google switched to the "Google Play" branding. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (Service Pack 1).
The only other add-ons I have active in Firefox are Firebug (1.9.1) and Java Console (6.0.31).
I hope that helps!

Thank you, DoctorFu. Since you read my previous post, I added another edit:

I just created yet another test profile which has only NoScript installed. I now have the same problem reported by the other posters in Google Music. Marking this issue [CONFIRMED].

Thanks, Alan; I already tried messing with my NoScript's Allowed Permissions with no luck.
If it makes a difference, the only plugin I have enabled is Shockwave Flash (11.1.102.63).

It turns out that my first NoScript profile--in which Google Music works for me--also had Adblock Plus (ABP) installed but with all its filters disabled. Uninstalling ABP caused Google Music in Firefox with NoScript to stop playing a song from my library again. It looks like installing ABP fixes the problem in some cases, not that I'm recommending that as a workaround. Weird.
I expect Giorgio will figure out what's going on.

It sounds like we're narrowing the possible culprit(s) of the error. I've never installed Adblock Plus because I have NoScript.
I'm confident this will be resolved soon.
Let me know if it'd be helpful for me to try installing ABP on my Firefox.

I'm able to get Google Music to work if I change both the following default settings:
- Allow Scripts Globally
- Uncheck
Embeddings > Block every object coming from a site marked as untrusted
There are no sites "marked as untrusted" in the default setup. That shouldn't make any difference. Something's definitely broken.

I doubt your results would add any additional illumination, but thanks anyway.

You got it, Alan.
Until a solution is discovered, I'll just keep a separate window for Chrome to play my Google Music.

Unfortunately it's very hard for me to test because the site requires that you are a US citizen.
Fooling it with a proxy is possible to a certain extent (I did it), but then it asks you to verify your identity through a credit card and I've got no US one.
Alan (or anyone else here located in US), could you borrow me your credentials?

When you are able to test, did you happen to notice
this and the few succeeding posts, which reproduced the issue on 32-bit Fx, but showed no problem on 64-bit Fx (both users using Nightly)? .... Could the differences between the two be a clue to the cause?

Thanks Alan for the test account.
It seems to be a bug affecting the 32 bits version of the Flash plugin.
I confirm Firefox 64 bits (with the 64 bits Flash Plugin, obviously) works just fine.
I'm looking for a work-around, and if I manage to produce a reduced test case I'll also file a bug report against the Plugins Mozilla component.

I'm not sure, but this may be the first, or one of very few,
single issues where the entire staff has contributed at some point.
So on behalf of Giorgio and the
Support Team, "You're welcome!" ... and thank you for the kind words.
