Thank you for your response.

Strangely enough - I am not the first person on this thread to find the solution AFTER posting. The problem seems to be the Navigation bar. After moving some icons around the Noscript icon suddently appeared and I was then able to move it. Man, do I feel stupid...

My "NoScript"-icon was visible but didnt respond to any mouse-hover or -click.

Started working again after I disabled AdBlockPlus.

Used them both in FF3, but I suppose I can survive without ABP when using NoScript ;)

Did you get any error message in Tools>Error Console?

Weird. Could you reinstall ABP and check whether the problem persists?

I got an odd one, the "icon" is in the status bar, but is invisible. it just shows up as a small space after ghostery but before the other stuff. see the pic.

It might be a theme thing or an extensions conflict.
Could you try Standard Diagnostic (keeping NoScript enabled) to spot the conflicting one?

I already disabled everything but ABP and NS, the icon was still missing. and this was with no theme in use.

Have you got any userStyle.css customization?
Does it work on a clean profile?

the only styles I use are in stylish and grease monkey, and I disabled both. also, I made a clean one on a VM the the problem was still there. it may have to do with FF4.

Any plugins, A/V related or the like? If so, disable those too.

In that spot in your screenshot, even though no icon appears, can you still access NoScript from there?

There was this earlier, similar sounding thread, though it was SeaMonkey specific.

NoScript blocks Firefox since update

Post by Guest »

 since i updated Noscipt, I can no longer use Firefox, all interaction blocked (taskmanager says waiting for input, but no input possible).
Even installing/upgarding to Firefox 4 didn't help - no more browser.
