Strangely enough - I am not the first person on this thread to find the solution AFTER posting. The problem seems to be the Navigation bar. After moving some icons around the Noscript icon suddently appeared and I was then able to move it. Man, do I feel stupid...

Re: NoScript Icon disappears in Firefox 4
My "NoScript"-icon was visible but didnt respond to any mouse-hover or -click.
Started working again after I disabled AdBlockPlus.
Used them both in FF3, but I suppose I can survive without ABP when using NoScript

Did you get any error message in Tools>Error Console?exit wrote:My "NoScript"-icon was visible but didnt respond to any mouse-hover or -click.
Weird. Could you reinstall ABP and check whether the problem persists?exit wrote: Started working again after I disabled AdBlockPlus.

Re: NoScript Icon disappears in Firefox 4
I got an odd one, the "icon" is in the status bar, but is invisible. it just shows up as a small space after ghostery but before the other stuff. see the pic.

Re: NoScript Icon disappears in Firefox 4
It might be a theme thing or an extensions conflict.
Could you try Standard Diagnostic (keeping NoScript enabled) to spot the conflicting one?

I already disabled everything but ABP and NS, the icon was still missing. and this was with no theme in use.Giorgio Maone wrote:It might be a theme thing or an extensions conflict.

Have you got any userStyle.css customization?Heavyoak wrote:I already disabled everything but ABP and NS, the icon was still missing. and this was with no theme in use.
Does it work on a clean profile?

Re: NoScript Icon disappears in Firefox 4
the only styles I use are in stylish and grease monkey, and I disabled both. also, I made a clean one on a VM the the problem was still there. it may have to do with FF4.

Any plugins, A/V related or the like? If so, disable those too.
In that spot in your screenshot, even though no icon appears, can you still access NoScript from there?

There was this earlier, similar sounding thread, though it was SeaMonkey specific.

NoScript blocks Firefox since update
Even installing/upgarding to Firefox 4 didn't help - no more browser.
