As I am not in any way familiar with code I can only point out what strikes me as odd:barbaz wrote:So I've taken the log with ABE disabled and the log of the failed login with ABE enabled, stripped timing statistics, moved request URLs to the front, and done a diff...
Nothing stands out to me, anyone else?

1) the word "fallback" only comes up in the logs for the failed log-in.
2) the "http://info.web.de/" seems only to appear in the failed log-in logs
3) the word "javascript" only comes up once in the logs for the no-abe login which was successful, but it appear 20 times int the logs with abe enabled that wasn't successful.
4) the site "js.ui-portal.de" seems only to appear in the failed log-in logs
5) the phrase "GET null Redirect" only comes up in the failed log-in logs
6) the site "cdn.webde.de" seems only to appear in the failed log-in logs
7) NS_ERROR_ABORT only comes up in the failed log-in logs
I don't know if this is of any help....
