When you say "the number allowed in a free account is quite small" - how many are we talking about, and how long have you had that account? I've had mine for many years, and it allows 500. Maybe that has changed?

Years and years.
I've had mine for many years, and it allows 500. Maybe that has changed?
I stuck with Mail Classic. The 500 disposables
are available only in Mail Plus, which is listed at $19.99/year, at least in the US.
