It was good to see that, I hadn't done that in a long time, so I did it for fun and the most amusing part of the analysis was the cookie section.

Just a heads up again Giorgio, the problem is still there, today when I tried to get the dev build, it popped up the allow dialog, done, and then the eternal download bar:



and then it completes to 100% and then pops up that original screen shot again immediately upon completion of the download.

Is it a browser addon update error issue? Website issue? No ideas yet?

The websites (noscript.net, hackademix.net, …) went down today for some time (not long after my RSS reader notified me of a blog post at latter) maybe you were downloading in exactly that timeframe this time?

Possible, although unlikely since it actually showed the download complete eventually but popped the error. It was more consistent with initial observation of the error than that, but I will concede that its possible. So let me give it a shot RIGHT NOW.

On the 3rd, after I made my last post, I did go to the site to try and download and see what happens, but then all the sites went down and I had no chance to report back that it did happen again.

However, as of today when I updated to the latest dev build, it worked fine and the installation window popped up. So I am not sure if Fx fixed something, something else got fixed, the sites got fixed, or what but as of this moment, the issue is not there anymore. Just questions as to what happened.
