ABP ui is for defining block rules, not terminating running instances, OP was just using it as an example of what it could look like.Tom T. wrote:Umm, everybody, per the OP, it seems that Adblock Plus solves the issue, so why add it to NoScript? There was a bit of a language barrier there. Thanks.al_9x wrote:ABP ui is for defining block rules, not terminating running instances, OP was just using it as an example of what it could look like.Tom T. wrote:Umm, everybody, per the OP, it seems that Adblock Plus solves the issue, so why add it to NoScript? Which actually makes me wonder about the following:
Flash blocked by default everywhere. I visit YouTube. Choose the video I want to watch, click "Temporarily allow shockwave-flash..... (video #) etc.
Video starts to play. I click "Revoke temporary permissions" -- but the video doesn't stop.
I suppose the answer is that Revoke refers only to scripting permissions? If so, I would definitely support an RFE that Revoke Temp revokes "all" temp permissions, including blocked objects. I was going to bring this up before, but as said, it sounded from the OP that ABP (which I don't use) solved it.
This may be less complex, and perhaps a first step?
I'd also support the request for the tab (or any other context menu, etc.) to stop loading at any time, if it isn't too big of a job.
Edit: n/m, it's because YT is whitelisted, d'oh. [headbang]
Which solves OP's problem: don't whitelist the site, then Revoke works.
But it still might be nice to have that tab or context menu for w/l sites.
