"about:blank" is in the Default Whitelist, and *must* stay there.fex wrote: So what I did was:

- The broken config contained the line: [begin]"untrusted":"about:blank",[end]
I don't know how it got into your Untrusted list. You might have clicked it accidentally at some site.
That is the "reset" button. It resets NS to the defaults. Which would correct the problem, but you must be sure not to blacklist about:blank again.English name of the button, in German it is "Zurücksetzen"). Pushing this button ultimately helps (without Firefox restart).
Then add your other configurations as you please, and all should be well.
