Yes, I just did... And no, no proxies and no satellite connection.

Your log breaks after processing 69 links. This doesn't seem a FlashGot Media log, but rather a FlashGot All one. What were you doing exactly and where?

I was clicking "Flashgot All" on this page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUi1yf97paw

But as I said, any Youtube video, or any Flash video at all works. Or rather, doesn't work.

The reason I used "Flashgot All" is that the "Flashgot Media" and "Flashgot Selected" menu entries are grayed out, and do not respond to mouse clicks. The keystrokes don't work either.

Beside FlashGot's log, are you getting any error (red) message in Tools|Error Console?

Hmm, no errors, but I do have a ton of warnings which appear to be related to an extension:

Each of these appears (and I mean exactly the same) several times.

Those warning messages you've found are completely unrelated to this issue, but...

This comment of yours had derailed me a bit, leading me to believe that any download manager was OK to reproduce this issue.
However I've just tried with aria2, and finally I can reproduce, even though I'm frankly baffled, since at first sight it has nothing specially different from cURL, Axel or D4X which are working just fine and which share through inheritance the very piece of code which fails, according to the logs.

That is very strange, I have been able to reproduce the bug with every single download manager I've tried, including Firefox's default one.

The bug is still present in that build. Unless I have to clear the old preferences, or something?

Tried clearing the old preferences, creating a new profile with no changes, and installing the devel version. No go. "Flashgot Media" and "Flashgot Selection" are still grayed out, and "Flashgot All" still does nothing.

It seems there's a bit of a misunderstanding, BTW, regarding the scale of this bug. I'll try to explain what I've observed.

- On every computer on which I have installed Flashgot - be it a modern netbook or a Pentium II laptop, running Linux or Windows - "Flashgot Media" and "Flashgot Selection" have been grayed out for ALL websites containing Flash videos, and "Flashgot All" has produced the "l is not defined" error and done nothing. This has also been the case regardless of the download manager used.

- The issue is not any of the other extensions I've used (they range from Noscript to none at all), nor is it Firefox configuration changes I've made (I'm using a fresh profile with no changes at all right now, and Flashgot still won't work).

- I have gotten Flashgot to work a grand total of ONE time, using Aria2. That one time, it downloaded a Youtube video without any complaints. Following that successful download, it immediately stopped working, with the relevant menu options grayed out again.

There are two variables that have remained the same for all my installs of Flashgot:

1. I've been using recent (3.6.x) versions of Firefox.

2. Perhaps more importantly, all the computers I've installed it on have been connected to the same LAN, and through that the same ISP. A rather obscure ISP that only services my town and a few of the surrounding ones.

Which leads me to an ugly question.

Is it possible for an internet service provider to do something that blocks Flashgot, be it accidentally or intentionally? Because right now, given the fact that it works fine for everyone else and doesn't work at all for me, that seems to me to be the most likely explanation...

That's why I asked about proxies, satellite, anything else odd or out of the norm.

How about some screenshots of the grayed out options.

FlashGot is only a bridge between apps. Though FlashGot Media would do some port scanning, I suppose.

The internet access is via a normal cable connection, FWIW.

1. One self-evident problem with this screenshot is that you appear not to have the Flash plugin installed.
   No Flash (or equivalent plugin) installed = no downloadable movie which either Firefox or FlashGot can see = no "FlashGot Media".
   Please install Flash (or any similar open source plugin capable of make Youtube work, if you prefer) and retry.
2. Furthermore, regarding the "l is not defined" error, it just cannot happen in FlashGot 1.2.1.28rc4 and above, so if you still can't do "FlashGot All" there's something else broken which we're not aware of.
3. "FlashGot Selection" is physiologically grayed out until you select a portion of the page, which doesn't seem to be the case in your screenshot.

It doesn't work without Flash plugin? Okay, that would explain it. Sorry for the trouble.

... And dang. Unfortunately, that makes it much less useful than I originally thought. Thank you very much anyway, though.
