I have trimmed my installation and precoded most of the tweaks into the build so that when installed, it already has everything the way I like it. It took some time and requires knowledge of sysprep but it can be achieved BEFORE installing if you so desire and then you just have an installation media that is already tweaked to your liking and when new service packs come out, I extract, trim the junk and slipstream them into the installation to cut down on the number of updates needed to install after installation. Just saying.
