Re: NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
Please check latest development build 5.0.1rc1, thanks.

Re: NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
Hello Giorgio,
Done that, and tested a few websites just now, including NPO.nl. Works as it should, so it seems resolved! Thank you!!
Should I unexpectedly encounter the problem again within the next few days, I'll report back to you.
Best regards,
Kris
PS; Visual quality of the videostreams on NPO.nl improved too (had been really bad since a couple of days), could
be a coincidence however.

Re:Not quite RESOLVED yet? - NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.
Hello again,
Although it really looked resolved - no issues anymore on NPO.nl and several other websites where they had occured before - I just now seem to have encountered it again:
On https://www.facebook.com/cardas.elena/v ... 856515280/ it shows facebook.com to be allowed. Because , after allowing facebook.com, the video I wanted to watch didn't start,
I looked in the NS rolldown list of domains: In the recently blocked list there's gstatic.com hidden. (No other domains to be allowed or blocked listed, just found these two).
(However After temporarily allowing Gstatic.com the video still doesn't run, but I think that might be due to something completely different, not related to NS).
If from the above it's unsure whether it's the similar issue recurring, then wait please. If it does again occur somewhere else too, I'll let it know. (I'm not sure about this example for I hardly ever visit facebook and don't know what the normal/usual looks like on that website).
Best regards,
Kris

Yep, it's unsure. Regarding the Recently blocked sites menu, please see this - viewtopic.php?p=38813#p38813Kris wrote:(However After temporarily allowing Gstatic.com the video still doesn't run, but I think that might be due to something completely different, not related to NS).

Re: NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
Hello Barbaz,
OK, thank you for pointing that out. It's that NS usually works so perfectly with no issues at all, that looking in to things like recently blocked ans how it's created is not something that needs to be
done often and I get confused about things that seemed so obvious that it didn't need further looking into, have to do some learning there now.. .
So possibly gstatic is not to be expected on that webpage with the video.
You might want to mark the thread as resolved again then.
One question though as to the "recently blocked" : In my menu it states "(temporarily) Allow all from xxample.com" and not just " ... allow example.com". Is what I see there, normal?
I'd expect the latter, like it also is shown in the thread you referred me to. To me it seems with "all from" you might unknowingly allow maybe third level domains, and who knows what else?
Or am I mistaking there?
Best regards,
Kris

Hello again,
Aditionally another question: As I changed to the latest development build 5.0.1rc1 now, how do updates run as of now for me? Does it update to the next development build automatically, or should I
check manually on a regular basis? Or preferably at some point change to "normal" version again to get automatic updates?
Best regards,
Kris

Yes. "Allow all" means "Allow scripts and embeddings". Giorgio explained this well in...oh, heck, that thread isn't public.Kris wrote:One question though as to the "recently blocked" : In my menu it states "(temporarily) Allow all from xxample.com" and not just " ... allow example.com". You won't notice that difference unless you select "Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too".
The dev version should update to the latest dev version, same as the stable version updated to the latest stable version.Kris wrote:Aditionally another question: As I changed to the latest development build 5.0.1rc1 now, how do updates run as of now for me? Re: [RESOLVED] NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
Hello Barbaz,
OK, good to know that, thank you for the answers!
Err, Did you or could you please forward my wish for the Dutch menu translation (change) to Giorgio? A change back to "verbieden" instead of "niet toestaan" ... or, "blokkeren" (to block) instead of "niet toestaan"? As an absent minded user friendlier option?
It's not really important or urgent, but I'd be really happy if one could instantaneously see clearly which is/are blocked or allowed, not having to really read whether says "tijdelijk" or "niet" somewhere in the middle of each line. The difference now being less clear at a glance, confuses me more easily, and since it happens every now and then that I've clicked/allowed the wrong one. It could be me, but maybe I'm not the only one.
Best regards,
Kris

Not quite resolved? - NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
Hello,
... me again. It seems that the bug of some domains not showing up in the NS list of domains to be allowed - which can be found then and allowed in the recently blocked list - is partially still there..
Example: http://nos.nl/liveblog/2162256-campagne ... ndaag.html scroll down to the Youtube video below "Campagnevlog #9: Lachen om een SP-poster"
(about 2/3 down the page). To watch the video youtube.com is to be allowed, and normally after clicking the video "googlevideo.com" would appear in the NS list, allow that one and the video plays.
It didn't show in the list, I found it at the "recently blocked" - allowing it then doesn't make it show up in the NS roll down menu. (but it does show up under options as temporary whitelisted.).
Seems to me to be some more of the same bug as the one on NPO.nl. However it's strange that the new development build resolved nearly all issues I encounterd like that before, and then
encountering this.
Best regards,
Kris

PS to the above: After (temporary) allowing googlevideo.com the page doesn't refresh automatically, after doing that manually the video can be played. (googlevideo.com then also not showin in the
NS rolll down list of domains).

Re: [RESOLVED] NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
PS 2 ... trying to figure out the why of it. I thought that maybe I've marked googlevideo.com at some point accidently as untrusted. I recall to have read somewhere else on this forum a mention of an "untrusted websites list". If such a thing exists, where can that list be found? can't find it anywhere, neither in the roll down menu nor under NS options.
Whether it has to do with something like that... on youtube itself there's no problem with googlevideo showing op in NS... but I'd still like to know where I can find the list.

Re: [RESOLVED] NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
Hello,
The link I posted two posts ago, with the URL where the initial bug reoccurred, in spite of using the latest development build is obsolete. Here's a new URL: http://nos.nl/liveblog/2162256-campagne ... emier.html it also contains youtube videos, where it happens too. (googlevideo.com not showing up to be allowed, being "hidden"
in "recently blocked", where it can be allowed.
By the way, going about it by temporarily allowing all on this website, does not include the "hidden" googlevideo.com being allowed too, or showing up then. ..
Best regards,
Kris

Re: [RESOLVED] NoScript problems/bug? on NPO.nl
2.9.5.3, looks like this gets it working:
+omroep.nl
+jwpcdn.com
+publiekeomroep.nl
+nos.nl
Appears that without jwpcdn.com, you'll get a placeholder - which seems odd to me. Clicking the placeholder plays the clip.
With jwpcnd.com, the clip plays "in the page" as you'd expect.
5.0.1, works with the same domains, but seems harder to get to work, in that you may need to manually refresh the page, maybe even a few times, after allowing particular domain(s).
