We get hundreds of spam registrations per day. Fortunately the filter seems to keep them manageable.

If you need to post something that the filter is blocking, just send a private message to a moderator.

Thanks for getting back to me, Giorgio. I was relieved that the answer seemed so simple when I got your post; however that box was not checked and there continues to be random sites adding themselves to my whitelist, even for one I accidentally visited very briefly, and exited without TA-ing the scripts! So it seems the issue still remains a problem.

Now what...?? :(

Thanks too, Thrawn for replying re: the spam.

One more question while you guys are trying to figure out my whitelist problem, (since it probably got lost above)...how do I install ClearClick? I couldn't find it.

Thanks again!!

Weird, our configuration export file says otherwise.
However, please open about:config and ensure your noscript.autoAllow preference is reset to 0 (default value).

It's already installed and enabled by default along with NoScript (built-in).

Hi Giorgio, Sorry for the delayed reply, I was just now able to get back to this. When I first downloaded NS, making sure that box for top level sites was unchecked was one of the first things I did. Every time I look, it's always unchecked. This problem is kind of acting like that though. Many sites I go to seem to have the top-level scripts allowed automatically, but some do not. It has been making it difficult for me to figure out exactly how NS is supposed to work because it doesn't seem consistent. This may be due to some setting on my end, but I'm not sure what it is.

I just went into about:config and the noscript.autoAllow preference is indeed set to 0, so this remains to be perplexing.

I have the "allow sites opened through bookmarks" box checked -- perhaps that's it? When I bookmark sites, do they automatically get added to the whitelist? If so, it still seems buggy... I looked at the whitelist again and I just verified that all the current "auto-added" sites that are on it are indeed in my bookmarks; however, maybe not exactly as they appear (e.g. bing.com on whitelist => bing.com/maps in bookmarks).

The whitelist "auto-adds" also seem a bit random since I added tons of bookmarks today, but they aren't on the list. Also, the Vudo.com site getting on the list is odd because that happened overnight w/o me going to the site. Next morning it was in my bookmarks and on the list even though I didn't visit Vudo or bookmark it.

Any further insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Also, re: ClearClick: I thought it was included automatically in the NS download, but I don't see any hint of it anywhere. It's not in the pop-up menu or options. How do I "find"/"see" it, and initialize/use it? Sorry -- what am I missing?

Thanks!
