Domain Missing

Post by therube »

I was on BoA.
BoA Allowed.
BoA has a 6000 sec timeout.

At some point (probably around 6000 sec) I got a popup saying it was going to log me out.
I probably hit ESC ESC ESC, to dismiss the popup, then (hopefully) bypass the timeout feature.
Instead the following page loaded. Odd but that's what happened.
But, the bankofamerica.com domain is not listed.

OK, I think I've got it. I haven't really gone anywhere at this point yet. I am only on about:error, so there is no bankofamerica.com domain at that point.

The domain is missing because the document shown is NOT from BOA.
It's about:certerror, the error message page shown by Firefox when a SSL certificate does not belong to the page about to be loaded (the page is not loaded yet).
Allowing the domain, on the other hand, would have no use since site permissions are usually decoupled from SSL status.
On a side note, should the site be blocked you would see it listed in the new "Recently blocked sites" menu.
