Looking into it now, thanks.
Sorry for the huge delay, but I could not care about NoScript 5 Classic beyond security bugs so far because the Tor Browser 8 (based on Firefox 60 and supporting WebExtensions only) was behind the corner and NoScript 10 needed a lot of work to be seamless integrated there.

Sorry, I rushed out 5.1.8.7 because of the Zerodium exploit without including a patch for this.
I'll try to fix it later this week.

Any news on the fix?

Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, will the NoScript Classic release that fixes this bug be the final NoScript Classic release?

I'll try to keep up with security fixes as long as compatible browsers which do receive security updates (such as Palemoon or Waterfox) are still available.
BTW, what's your own current everyday browser?

Waterfox 56.2.3 (well, I do my own builds of Waterfox from their latest master branch whenever it suits me, atm it happens to be the same changeset as current Waterfox release)
