Self-disabling NS?

Post by rys »

Running FF56 and NS 10.1.8.16, unchanged since august NS update. Both FF and NS set to not update automatically, and when I boot the system, apropos of nothing, NS is disabled because it's suddenly no longer compatible with my version of FF (or any version below 59); it doesn't even show up in the get extensions list. It was working fine this morning and nothign was supposed to update. Who's ignoring the 'do not update" instruction?

NoScript 10.x was never compatible with Firefox 56. You need NoScript Classic from https://noscript.net/getit
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Thanks. I'll see what I can find (though it was working previously and has been for some time...
Wouldn't be the first time something impossible's worked fine for me.) ;)
