[RESOLVED] NoScript 5.1.8.6rc1 updates to NoScript 5.1.8.6

Title says it all. Browser is Waterfox 56.2.

According to Browser Console (Ctrl-Shift-J), the NoScript update URL is

Loading this update manifest in the browser shows that only stable channel updates are being offered.

If I manually adjust the URL to -

Code: Select all

https://secure.informaction.com/download/classic/?v=5.1.8.6rc1

... and load that in the browser, that update manifest looks better for dev channel users.

EDIT I see now the update URL with the 'wrong' version is written that way in the NoScript 5.1.8.6rc1 install.rdf. Is it intended to switch all NoScript Classic dev channel users over to stable channel?

Unfortunately it's been an unintended consequence of fixing the classic build process breakage which caused the delay in releasing 5.1.8.6rc1.
Trying to fix this regression too ASAP

Fixed in latest development build 5.1.8.7rc1.
If you've got 5.1.8.6x you need to install it manually in order to get back on the beta channel.
Users still on 5.1.8.5rc3 and below should be automatically upgraded to the fixed beta, instead.
