Informacton forums and new GDPR?
Informacton forums and new GDPR?
Curious to know how this is playing out here. Full compliance seems to make life very difficult for smallish boards with limited resources.

Re: Informacton forums and new GDPR?
It has been discussed and we see no effect on the site.
1. Users can post anonymously and we track nothing more than basic cookies that runs the forum software.
2. Those who sign up and have an account, it is only to access this forum and used nowhere else already.
3. Being a support forum, any and all information received voluntarily form the users is used to support them.
So basically we are not affected by it and our practices have always been in compliance as a matter of practice long before this rule went into effect.
