When I try to download stuff from MediaFire, XSS keeps popping up preventing the download unless I allow it. The problem is that I download a lot from there, so it keeps popping up since each(or therefore every other) pop-up keeps having a new number.
I simply allow and the download begins, nothing else happens. If something else were to happen, it might just be a script that NoScript might be blocking so no effect, and I also use uBlock so nothing out of the ordinary, just preventing a download unless I allow the XSS. I heed the warning but so far no problems to report if any infections, for the past weeks. Of course, the option would be to disable XSS, but I like it on for many other random sites that I might stumble on due to research. For now, I'll disable it hopefully I don't forget to turn it back on.

As you can see, the image has downloadXXXX.mediafire where XXXX generates different numbers, thus new pop-up about the matter.

That warning looks like a false positive to me. It's probably safe to allow.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Re: Mediafire and XSS
Thanks for the heads up. I'm still wondering how I can stop it from popping up every other download. For now, I'll disable XSS while using Mediafire.barbaz wrote:That warning looks like a false positive to me. It's probably safe to allow.
