Firefox hangs constantly with NoScript enabled

Post by Alternative »

With the new Firefox (58.0.2) and NoScript (10.1.6.5) my browsing experience is nothing worth writing home about.
I've got about 20 tabs open. Firefox just freezes for 5 seconds till 2 minutes, which happens constantly (even scrolling on a page freezes in many cases).
I had no other plugins enabled except NoScript (to verify that it's NoScripts fault). When I disabled NoScript my browsing experience was great again.

Also the menu (dropdown) loads very slowly, especially with a lot of domains.

NoScript isn't usable for me right now, so I'll disable the plugin.

Any pages in particular where this happens, or does it happen on all pages?
Does this happen right after starting your browser, or after browsing for a while?

It happens on all pages as far I can tell. The uptime of my browser might be a few days.
Didn't test restarting my browser, but on average it happens from the beginning (I restarted it a few times, but at that point I wasn't aware of the exact problem). I'll try to verify that.

Also please check whether disabling all the other extensions you've got helps.
If it does, please try Standard Diagnostic|sd, thanks.
