Capturing a Portion of NoScript Options (Resolved)

Post by Skeezix »

I'm using NS 10.1.6.4 and a screen capture program named SnagIt (ver. 12) on Windows 10. I want to capture the click the NoScript icon with the Options shown, but as soon as I activate my SnagIt image capture tool, the NoScript icons turn off. I've tried including the cursor in in SnagIt's profiles but NoScript keeps closing. How can I capture a portion of the NoScript Options?

Assuming that the 'Print Scrn' key activates a screen capture in Snagit, I would think that would do it.
Now you'll likely need to crop the capture so to have only the part of the shot that you want, but it should work. (Works like that in FastStone Capture, capturing from various programs where a key action would normally cause a dialog box to close.)

Not a NoScript support question. Moving to NoScript General.

If you mean the NoScript popup, you could try this -

go to about:debugging
check "Enable add-on debugging"
scroll down to NoScript, click "Debug"
the browser will open a blank window and ask to confirm if you want to allow a remote debugging connection. click "OK"
the devtools should now show up in the empty window
in the devtools, there is a button on the upper right that looks like four squares. click that to toggle it on. This prevents popups from closing when you click outside them.
now go to a page where NoScript can operate, and open the NoScript popup, and try to take your screenshot.
Remember to un-check "Enable add-on debugging" when youre done.

Does this help?
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

After posting my question, I gave it some more thought and came up with cropping a Print Screen image.

Just like "the rube" suggested!

Then I realized that images are disabled here on purpose.
