How can I make sites default to default (if they are not untrusted) ?
I have a bunch of trusted sites that never started out in default, and almost no default sites.
I changed the permisions of default to be more restrictive, and I would like all sites that are not untrusted to require manually being set to either trusted or a more permissive custom setting than my restrictive default
but as it is most sites seem to be trusted?
Default to default
Re: Default to default
How do you come to the conclusion that "most" sites are already trusted?
If you visit any website, the overlay(when you click the icon near the adress bar once) shows you that most of those sites are in the default set.
In the options on the other hand (when you click options icon in the overlay, or enter them via the firefox addon dialog), the default set is not shown (because that is an atrociously big set of unkown actual size, namely "all domains that have JS")
The entries in the options consist of 2 types:
1) Sites you had settings in you previous install of Noscript, which have been ported over on upgrading to the new version (if this isn't your first install)
2) Sites that NS has preinstalled settings for automatically (because they are generally considered safe, and it would confuse new users, essentially preventing them from even using webmail as a last resort to get support)
You can reset all those sites in the options by moving them to default again, on reloading the options, they will have been removed from the list entirely (because sites set to default aren't shown in the list (see above))
sidenote:
You can also (to be safe) check the settings of those presets (default, trusted and untrusted) at the top of the options (version 10.1.6.3), if scripts are checked in the default set, sites who have no rule set (are not trusted or untrusted) will still run scripts.

Re: Default to default
If it is sites that I previously allowed in an earlier version it makes sense that most of the sites I use were marked as trusted then. Thanks.
