Strange Things

Post by LongTimeFan »

Basically ReCaptha does not work in firefox with noscript active, even tried to unistall and reinstall firefox making sure all data were deleted, nothing, the only way to make it work is remove noscript from firefox. On site like: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Answer-HQ-Eng ... HQ-English the sign in button does not work, it happen in most of the sites where a popup appear to insert the info to log in and does not redirect to a log in page, the popup does not appear on the log in button the address does not appear instead I can only see javascript:; if the pop up appear the window is broken and unusable, no matter the permission applied, the solution here is to remove noscript from firefox again since nothing else worked.

Yes.

If that still does not get it working, try this -

storage-sync.sqlite from your firefox profile folder. That's where Noscript (and maybe another of your addons, thus the backup) keeps it's settings.

No, that doesn't reset your Firefox profile.

Go to your Firefox profile folder (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pr ... my-profile) and try:

If that doesn't help you can still try creating a fresh Firefox profile.

Nothing of that work, the new profile works fine but the old profile is broken even if I copy paste the content of the new profile noscript debug window in the the old profile debug window.

Have you tried disabling all extensions except for NoScript?

Alternatively, try copying your prefs.js from your original Profile into your new Profile.
Then see if your new Profile is then broken.
If so, look at some other "blocker", like cookies (3rd party) or geo location or similar.

My best guess is that something from the old noscript 5.x is giving problems to the nex noscript 10 since I have strange problems of any kinds since the update and every modification di the debug window or storage-sync.sqlite add or remove strange behaviors from noscript.

You may find it easier to just transfer important data to a new profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... _-_Firefox

But if you really want to keep your old profile if possible, I suggest you try this next:

1) completely remove NoScript (Tools > Add-ons Manager > NoScript > Remove). This step might remove your NoScript settings.

2) quit Firefox

3) start Firefox with the -purgecaches command-line switch
https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozi ... ne_Options

4) re-install NoScript

5) if your NoScript settings got wiped out in (1), restore your backup of NoScript settings.

Did that have any effect?

What version of FF?
What version of NoScript?

What does happen when you hit the Sign-In button?
At what point in the signin process do you get the Captcha?

Can you open the signin link directly, https://signin.ea.com/p/web2/login?exec ... directback ?

FF and Noscript are the latest version, when i hit the sign in button othing happens in stead of appearing the pop up with the log in, the captcha does not work in every site it's inserted and at all point it's inserted, even on this forum, i use edge to post since FF does not work, I can open the link directly but no matter the permission the page appear broken like all the script are forbidden, and ofc the log in does not work.
