What really annoys me on the new noscript for firefox 57
What really annoys me on the new noscript for firefox 57
What really annoys me on the new noscript is:
1) I have to click every allowance twice (first click on trust, second click to remove the clock symbol). It is not clear even for long-term-users that every allowance is firstly temporally.
2) I don't know how i can allow cloudfront.net globally, because "*" doesn't work in the filter list
3) I have to open firefox addons to enter the settings of noscript
4) it was nice to always disallow sites and hide them with the old noscript
I hope you can improve noscript at this points, because it is one of the very best addons all time.

1) It's either that, or clicking twice for it to be temporary. I like the default as temporary, but I do wish there was another button for temp allow.Luminous wrote:What really annoys me on the new noscript is:

2) Please give me a site I can test this on. There have been other threads on this, and for some reason people don't want to give me a URL to try to repro, threfore, I can give no answer. DO NOT use * when adding to the filter list - it is improper syntax. Just type the name of the site "cloudfront.net" wth NO * prefix.
3) If you click on the NS icon in the tool bar, there is a NS icon with a wrench, you can get to the preferences right from there.
4) When you mark a site as untrusted and refresh the page - all subdomains go hidden. This can shorten the list considerably in most cases.
Hope that clears up a few things for you. Again, PLEASE provide me with a site where cloudfront.net is giving you problems, It's the only way I can test.

Do the cloudfront addresses always change for every video or is it a set of addresses that stays essentially the same on amazon prime video?Luminous wrote:it is amazon prime video8-bit wrote:Hope that clears up a few things for you. The bold URL part in the picture is the base domain.Tomate wrote: Then in my opinion all that's needed is some explanation:
* that rules for anything higher than base domains are forbidden
and
* that base domains are the highlighted part in address bar

Re: What really annoys me on the new noscript for firefox 57
the screenshot shows another small issue of the new noscript. the cloudfront stuff takes a lot of space. it should be easier to trust all or show only one entry.
and the entries beginning with "..." are looking like something is missing or not shown. like scrolling to the left to see the left part of the text.

Re: What really annoys me on the new noscript for firefox 57
Hey all,
I too have an annoying thing happening (If others are not having this issue I will screen shot what I'm seeing)...Im using it on the latest firefox update.
When I click the icon in the top right hand the drop down is heavily zoomed! I have to literally scroll down/left to see all the text.
Is anyone else having an issue with this? I tried to play with settings and such but not getting any options to fix this. I AM however running using Mullvard VPN but I doubt this has anything to do with that as it was happening before I installed it.
Can anyone confirm or replicate this issue? Thanks!

Re: What really annoys me on the new noscript for firefox 57
There are two entries per script source, because you get to decide whether you want to make a rule for it and everything below it (...site), or just exactly the specific url (http(s)://site.Luminous wrote:I just saw the entries in the screenshot are doubled
If you make a rule for ...google.com ist includes https://whatever.google.com.
If you make a rule for https://www.google.com it ONLY makes a rule for that specifically.
