Just "create" a download manager.
One that simply outputs the found links to a text file.
Filelist as a Textfile in one way
I have the above one opening automatically into a text editor (Win32Pad, which also knows what a "URL" is & so is able to make it a "live link"), though you could have the output just go to a file without automatically opening it.

when you click on the "flashgot media" icon you do not get to choose the DM, which means the text editor DM would have to be the default, and that's certainly not what you want

Re: request: ability to view and copy flashgot media urls
Is there perhaps some hidden pref that forces download manger choice in all cases, so that when you click on the media icon you can choose a text editor or a real download manager?

Will you consider the feature request? Either such a pref or a media icon menu "view urls" item.Giorgio Maone wrote:No, there's not.al_9x wrote:Is there perhaps some hidden pref that forces download manger choice in all cases, so that when you click on the media icon you can chose a text editor or a real download manager?

Re: request: ability to view and copy flashgot media urls
Not sure, do you want the URLs as raw text or as links?
I could see the usefulness of adding two commands to the right-click FlashGot media menu:
I could see the usefulness of adding two commands to the right-click FlashGot media menu:
- "Show links", adding an header to the page containing the media clip(s) with actual link(s) with a descriptive label (type/extrapolated title) for each media clip detected;
- "Copy to clipboard", copying the raw URL, one per line, to the system clipboard

Re: request: ability to view and copy flashgot media urls
1) I don't think I would want the existing page altered and would suggest instead a new tab or dialog for displaying the urls, from which it would be possible to 1) click 2) copy individual urls and 3) copy all (one per line), so you don't have to choose between viewing or copying, but be able to first view, then copy if need be.Giorgio Maone wrote:Not sure, do you want the URLs as raw text or as links?

If added, these would be in addition to the already displayed right-click "links"?

Re: request: ability to view and copy flashgot media urls
Injecting the links on the same page would have the advantage of keeping the page context (referrer and cookies) of those links for free.
I understand your use case is different (copying some URLs elsewhere), but someone could expect that selecting some and use "FlashGot Selection" would work no matter if the site is protected or not.

Didn't consider that, well, that's fine then.Giorgio Maone wrote:Injecting the links on the same page would have the advantage of keeping the page context (referrer and cookies) of those links for free.

Re: request: ability to view and copy flashgot media urls
Hi!
It's good that someone already thought to this feature. But it seems that it was not developed for FlashGot ever since. I would be really thankful if this feature would appear in this extension. Because sometimes I just want to share the link, or open the media in an external player or within the browser using a media player plugin. Now to do this, I have to start downloading it, then I can copy the url from the download manager, but it's not really comfortable.
