[FIXED] NoScript 10.1.3 (not RC) un-maximizes FF57
Re: NoScript 10.1.3 (not RC) un-maximizes FF57
Confirming late... (considering he has a fix ready for tomorrow), but haven't seen any other mac users post here, so I suppose this is for them. On my system, clicking on the NS icon contracts the main browser window and then immediately expands it to where it was set - then I get a separate window with the site settings/permissions.
Anyway, fixed - so no worries. Will be released tomorrow.

Re: NoScript 10.1.3 (not RC) un-maximizes FF57
adding my 2 cents in case it provides clues to problem
Windows 10, 64 bits
Open Firefox and set random screen size to, lets say, 1/2 screen
Then, Maximize FF
Click on NoScript icon and it de-maximizes FF to 1/2 screen, and displays NoScript panel attached to Toolbar
Like everyone else posting here
Little difference in Linux KUbuntu 14.04, 64 bit
Open Firefox and set random screen size to, again, 1/2 screen
Then, Maximize FF
Click NoScript icon
(difference)
FF becomes briefly De-Maximized to 1/2 screen, then is enlarged to Almost Maximized size (-Minus) 1 pixel Height & Width
AND
NoScript panel is launched in a separate windows over top FF
Click Close panel
Click Icon again and this time it opens attached to Toolbar
Even stranger, this behaviour happens randomly , close to 50/50
Sometimes I get the Floating panel, sometimes it's attached but it always de-maximizes
Hope this helps Giorgio

Re: NoScript 10.1.3 (not RC) un-maximizes FF57
Mine, too. Seems a little different from some of the reports. I open FF in regular window (say, 1/2 screen on the right), then maximize the window. Click NoScript icon, which opens in a separate window. My original FF window now looks like it's half screen, but it was actually widened so it takes up a bit more than the full screen, so I have to drag it left to see all of it. (Can't actually see all of it because it's too wide for that.)
If FF is not maximized, NS opens in the usual popup and when it goes away everything is normal.

Confirmed on Fedora Linux 26 as well.SyberCorp wrote:Whatever changed between 10.1.3 RC3 and the full release of 10.1.3, it now un-maximizes FF57 when you click the icon, and displays the menu in a completely new window rather than as it should (as a bubble) some of the time (not all the time).

10: de-maximizes window
Ooh, I really hate this new glitch.
When clicking the icon, my maximized FF window now de-maximizes.
Happened in FF57 and just updated and still happens in 57.0.1
NS 10.1.3
I feel like I should provide more info, but really, that's it.
Thanks!

+1 though for me this only happens in Win10, not in Ubuntu 14.04TLS.
Here's to hoping this will go away with the next update!

Similar thing happens in mac for me. Have it fullscreen, click NoScript and the window briefly contracts and goes back to fullscreen.

Re: NoScript 10.1.3 (not RC) un-maximizes FF57
Looking closely, to me it seems that every click on the NoScript Icon to open the NoScript-context window widens the whole FF-window by a few pixels. Beeing in full-screen leads to un-max the FF window!
There might be an issue with the icon-image or its positioning.

10.1.3 small bug, restore/maximize window sizing problems
Giorgio, nice job on the latest UI improvements! It is starting to come along and make sense, be more intuitive now. Certainly huge improvement in the number of clicks. I think I already like the new interface better than the old one prior to Quantum.
Anyway, I noticed a very small bug in the latest release today concerning windowing and their sizes. Here is how to reproduce:
Open a browser window maximized to full screen.
Click on the NoScript "S" icon. Result:
1) The NoScript pulldown UI appears as it should.
2) What also happens (and it shouldn't) is that the browser window is resized. The icon on the upper right of the window between the 'minimize' and 'close' buttons changes from 'restore' to 'maximize'
If you click on the "S" icon again to close the NoScript pulldown UI nothing happens to the browser window sizing and it is not restored to maximum.
If you repeat the above procedure but first click 'restore' then manually resize the window to approx. 2/3 the screen in both horizontal and vertical (but make sure the entire smaller window fits on the screen) then click 'maximize' before clicking the "S" NoScript icon the pulldown UI fails to appear completely, the screen size changes to close to maximum on both the horizontal and vertical and part of the screen is shifted to the right off the screen where it is not view-able and so is the bottom of the window off the screen.

Yes, screen de-maximizing solved with 10.1.4, but now No Longer works in Private Mode as in a few versions back.barbaz wrote:NoScript 10.1.4 fixes this issue for me
