Hi
Thanks for getting NoScript working with FF57 - good to have the tool back.
Two issues I've noticed and can't see mentioned here yet
1. On Firefox/Linux (Debian Stretch) - in the box that opens when you click on the NoScript toolbar icon one of the characters (top line, left side) is not showing - instead it's the dreaded box with a code in (01F5D9). Hovering does show this is meant to be a close icon.
2. I make heavy use of console logging (I do web development) - the newest version of NoScript is flooding the console with various messages that I can't find any way to turn off. This occurs in both the new format and old format console screens (I have the old format still, because I need chromelogger messages to be displayed)
Would be grateful if anyone knows any solutions to the above - or if they can be noted for the next release.
Many thanks

1. did you check about:config, maybe ? there are some (NoScript) debug related Prefs in there ?

I can only answer this for you... Here is a pic of what mine looks like, and yes, it is a close icon, although a [?] isn't quite intuitive for a close icon, so mabey there is a little bug in what it is displaying - dunno.Vark wrote:Hi

It seems that, maybe different OS see different.
At least you have some sort of "picture". I get this, https://forums.informaction.com/viewtop ... 10&t=23594.

[TheRube] - Yes, that's what I see in FF57/Linux - sorry, I didn't spot that elsewhere in the forums
Also - no about:config option that I can find that will turn off all the debug output
Had looked before posting. They are generally generated whilst parts or all of the page is loading, notes the injection of the noscript JS, and every so often a [NoScript] COLLECT array appears
Just annoying when I'm trying to look out for my own debug messages!

Yeah, like a blocked font looking type thing. I took note of your "glitches" pics and will be looking for the same. I will report back later sometime.therube wrote:It seems that, maybe different OS see different.

P.S. Any hidden meaning to the Manson article?

Remember one thing, Manson never killed anyone. Yes, he told his followers to do it, but they didn't have to comply. Charlie don't surf!

Under Ubuntu, I got a X, like the screenshot in https://forums.informaction.com/viewtop ... 348#p91348. Wonder if it relies on a certain font being installed in the system?8-bit wrote:Yeah, like a blocked font looking type thing.therube wrote:It seems that, maybe different OS see different.

*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Just to confirm that I'm seeing the hex code under Windows 7, but the correct icon under Linux (Arch Linux)

Hello,
on my Arch system installing noto-fonts solved the problem.

Re: FF57/NoScript 10 minor issues
Unfortunately neither the current release (fonts-noto) or the testing release of the fonts solve the issue on Debian.
I think the applicable CSS refers to "dialog" then "sans-serif" for those icons - installing Dialog didn't work, and it appears the default sans-serif font doesn't contain the applicable unicode glyphs.
