Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
Wow he works on it all by himself? That must be tough. But good to get an update and I hope he isn't stressing too much. I've been using Firefox 57 without it for now. Should be fine with uBlock Origin and other security add-ons while waiting.

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
umatrix is a decent replacement for the time being. it does mostly what noscript does, blocking off site stuff unless you tell it not to.

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
Wow a forum that allows guest posts, unheard of!
Anyways, just wanted to say thank you for the hard work.
I've been using noscript for years and recommend it all the time. It's really something i find important to have and consider it the most effective security feature above all others. (AV, DNS etc.)
Thank you!!

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
I hope the new version gets released soon but I'm OK with waiting. I understand it's a lot of work and I appreciate all the effort Giorgio made on NoScript for all those years. I really can't complain about a delay of a few days.
Thanks Giorgio!

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
From his "The week is not over yet", I got the impression that he'll not release it today:
"NoScript 10's delay on Firefox 57's release is still going to be measured in days, not weeks."

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
I use NoScript for Firefox for many years, and i can't imagine what would happen, when the extension is getting lost sometime for any reason. It is very important for so many many people, so the best would be, when it would be integrated into Firefox itself, so that no accident of the extension being lost can happen.
Many thanks to Giorgio for this great piece of software!

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
NoScript requires that the end user be proactive and willing to educate themselves. Default Firefox is for users who just want to install a browser and have everything work.Ralph wrote:n it would be integrated into Firefox itself,
Sounds like oil and water to me, i.e. can't be mixed.
If you want a browser with integrated NoScript try Tor Browser.

Re: Firefox 57 and NoScript
What I'd really love to see are like development/beta builds of the new NoScript, at least that would give the more experienced users and those who can live with a few bugs (and maybe give back some helpful feedback) a chance to use NoScript again. I admire Giorgio for working seemingly alone on this super useful extension and if I could right now, I'd definitly donate some money to show support.

Love the scirpt and wish I could help. Take your time, most of us can downgrade to the ESR till a good solution is in place.
