NS 5.1.1 toolbar Icons become blank/inoperable
NS 5.1.1 toolbar Icons become blank/inoperable
Referring to the two NS icons for temporary and permanent. Quitting FF and restarting fixed this for a little while, but happened again. No idea if it's something intrinsic to the 5.1.1, but have reverted to the 5.1.0 at least for now. Will maybe occur there as well--don't know yet. As both appear to have been rewritten for web extensions, could it be something not playing well with my 52.4ESR?

Re: NS 5.1.1 menubar Icons become blank/inoperable
Hmmm, looked at both threads, which seem to refer only to the temporarily allow icon. In my case, both icons. Anyway, nothing there about what might be causing this, or what the fix is. Is Giorgio aware of this issue/possible bug? Btw, meant icons in FF toolbar, not menubar.

Thanks, sounds like there might be some possible fix on the way then. No problem for me to remain with the 5.1.0 for now.barbaz wrote:He has been around the forums more lately. I would think he has seen these threads.

If you disable all extensions, restart Firefox, re-enable NoScript, then re-enable all your other addons, do you get all the toolbar buttons back?

I get the toolbar buttons back simply by quitting and restarting FF.barbaz wrote:If you disable all extensions, restart Firefox, re-enable NoScript, then re-enable all your other addons, do you get all the toolbar buttons back?
HOWEVER, problem is still randomly occurring even with the 5.1.0.

UPDATE
Some users report that restarting Firefox in Safe Mode, then restarting it normally fixes this, that appears to be an extensions manager glitch.

Re: NS 5.1.1 toolbar Icons become blank/inoperable
I can't tell if this is the same problem as https://forums.informaction.com/viewtop ... =7&t=23388 or not. kukla, can you please try this and let us know the results? -
If it cures the problem, please continue in the other thread.UPDATE WITH A FIXThanks and sorry for the inconvenience, we're trying to figure out what exactly is happening and how to make sure it doesn't happen again.
- Firefox menu > Help (?) > Restart with Add-ons disabled
- Click the [Continue in Safe Mode] button
- Restart the browser again normally: NoScript UI should be back now
- Please report here the list of your add-ons as shown in about:support
Furthermore, if you're extra adventurous, please install 5.1.2rc8 from https://noscript.net/getit#devel, then restart the browser, then install 5.1.2 (stable) over it to provide us with some indication on what to expect on next update.

Re: NS 5.1.1 toolbar Icons become blank/inoperable
Right now, trying out the 5.1.2. If it happens again with this version, I will try those instructions. But again, all I've needed to do to get working buttons back so far is quit and reopen FF.
