Hi,
Is there a way to use bookmarklets through the url bar with a keyword without having to whitelist the site first? The bookmarklet that I have removes all fixed objects within the page so in order to make it work with NS I'd have to whitelist every single page that has fixed objects.
Note that the bookmarklet itself works fine without whitelisting sites when clicking it, its only when I'm using the keyword in the address bar that this is required.

Re: bookmarklets
I see the same.
SeaMonkey 2.49.1, new profile
NoScript 5.0.10rc4
Test bookmarklet -
Give it a keyword of "jsa".
Visit a script-blocked site, e.g. https://hackademix.net/. Enter "jsa" (without quotes) in the address bar.
Nothing happens.
Visit a whitelisted site instead, or Temporarily allow hackademix.net, and it works.
As noted, clicking the bookmarklet works either way. Same with entering it in full in the address bar.
I have no idea why the difference in behavior. I think it might be a NoScript bug.

*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

Re: bookmarklets
Thanks barbaz for the quick reply. I was just going to post that last year this same bookmarklet using a keyword in the url bar worked without the need for whitelisting the websites so this a recent change in NS or with firefox. The question then is the change intentional or is it a bug? I'm hoping it's a bug that can be fixed.

Re: bookmarklets
Is it an e10 issue, e10s: Bookmarklet Requires Current Domain to be Allowed?

Re: bookmarklets
No I've got e10s disabled. I see this bug has been around for a while, hopefully it's fixable.
