You have me thinking I should try to rediscover some of the flash games I enjoyed, and grab the files. What are a few of your favorites?

Epic Coaster, Cubefield, and most of the Free Room Escape games. Also the Submachine series (some of them, IIRC not all are free downloads) and Covert Front series, but I forget where I got those.

Thank you, I'll check those out. I found two of the ones I enjoyed:

Robokill: http://www.rocksolidarcade.com/
Minions: http://old.casualcollective.com/#games/Minions (some single player versions elsewhere)

So I currently have myself set up with a VM containing a standalone Adobe Flash player as well as an old browser with Flash plugin, and it works well for playing my local SWF's.

Today I happened upon this - https://www.ghacks.net/2019/07/16/how-t ... e-desktop/

Would this software provide any significant advantage over what I currently have?

(I'll only say, give how pervasive "fake flash" exists in [at minimum] the Mozilla world, I would highly scrutinize any "flash" that is not [Adobe] Flash.)
