This site does not work with NOSCRIPT (I think).

Post by farluiz »

This site does not work with NOSCRIPT even with "Enable Javascript Globally".

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/ ... 64a&lwp=rt

If I access this site with another profile without NOSCRIPT installed, the page is displayed correctly.

I'm using NOSCRIPT 5.0.3 with Firefox Beta 54.0b5 (32-bits) on Windows 8.1 64 bits. It seems this problem started with NOSCRIPT version 5. Could someone, please, test this page for me?

Thank you,

Looks OK to me, allowing only dell.com.

In what way is the page not displaying correctly for you?

The same page accessed WITHOUT NOSCRIPT addon installed.

Not seeing that here. Does disabling all extensions other than NoScript get it working? (Tools > Add-ons Manager)

If not, when this issue occurs, do you see anything related in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
(if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)

Problem solved!
I did the following:
A) I created a new profile in Firefox;
B) I installed NOSCRIPT 5.0.3.

I accessed the page in question again (Dell support page) and the page now displays correctly.

Conclusion: There is something wrong in my main profile that makes NOSCRIPT not work correctly there. In my main profile there is no other addon than NOSCRIPT.

Friends, how do I clear all NOSCRIPT settings from my main profile so that I can install NOSCRIPT again "clear of settings", as in the first installation? I can not discard this profile due tons of favorites on it.

Thank you in advance for your quick response.

First back up your settings: NoScript Options > Export (the one *on the very bottom* of NoScript Options, *not* the one specific to the Whitelist panel).

Then, NoScript Options > Reset (the one right next to the Export button you just used), and confirm that you want "ALL the NoScript preferences and site permissions will be reset to their default values immediately."
