Can Flashgot download full web pages?

Post by djgpenny »

I really like the idea behind this program. But there is one concern I'm not too sure about. Does Flashgot allow you to download the entire content from a linked webpage? I know it downloads the general webpage, but it doesn't seem to download pictures or other items associate with the pages.

No, FlashGot does not do that.

Save Page As should do it though.
Web Page, complete would be as the page displays to you as you're looking at it. Web Page, HTML only would be what the web page source would display.
(Doesn't FF have that? And there could be limitations? Save Page As is not a "crawler", if that is what you were looking for.)

The Save Page As function works fine for single web page downloads, but if you wanted to download several pages at once, I'm at a loss. I can see Flashgot as a great tool to download multiple web pages.

You can try Googling for a "website downloader" and you will come across many many good solutions both free and trial/pay. I personally use Offline Explorer Enterprise which handles an insane amount of features which might be overkill for what you need, including ripping live/recorded feeds from secure servers.

Try using:

http://www.httrack.com/
http://www.offlinedownloader.com/
http://www.surfoffline.com/

and see how that works out for you. But remember these were provided as a courtesy and does not mean I/we endorse them in any way.
